Ars Gaea - Ring of Earth by Shin-Ian Ars Gaea - Ring of Earth by Shin-Ian
This is the Ring of Earth. I haven't found a name I like for him yet, so if there are any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

His main weapons are the spikes you see on his wrist bracers. Connected to the Atlas Chains, they can be launched with tremendous velocity by channeling the mech's azuthite energy stores into the chains, and forcing them to expand rapidly. This propels them out of their coil chambers, and help the unit grapple objects much larger than itself.

It's strength is tremendous.

Thanks! This one came quickly; I had a basic idea of how I wanted to do the piece, and luckily my drawing hand felt like cooperating with what my brain was projecting on the page.

I know what you mean. I can see it in my head, but getting my hand to translate it to the page is a totally different story. Glad yours worked out. ;)

This looks pretty awesome. :D

I can see this guy pulling an Atlas pose with that huge boulder before chucking it at some unfortunate bastard.

Lol when in doubt, smash it with a rock.

If that doesn't work, find a bigger rock.

Repeat as necessary. :)

Gaiaton, King Konos, Vis Vires, Compello, Facultas

Really awesome picture, too, you really got it so that you can feel the power this guy has.

Those are awesome names! What do Vis Vires, Compello or Facultas mean? King [something] would work to, I think. Valtyr is Norse, one of Odin's many pseudonyms. Aeolus is Greek. I may have to swing back and plunder Wikipedia for something fitting, but your suggestions are quite inspiring.

And thanks; this is one of those times that a pose and 'feel' kind of came quickly. I appreciate those moments, as they are few and far between. XD

Vis Vires-Latin for strength
Compello-Latin for force
Facultas-Latin for power (See, looking up some Latin can make for some really awesome names!:))
